Headteacher’s welcome
I am honoured to be the headteacher at the new Chandag Primary School, Nursery and Pre-school which opened in September 2023 following the merger of the infant and junior schools. We are a large 2 form entry school for children aged 2-11. We are fortunate to occupy an extensive site which is part of the Wellsway estate and part of the Futura Learning Partnership Trust.
Our new school values were launched in September 2023:

These values were developed by the staff and children and encapsulate what we strive for in our day to day learning and conduct. We have high expectations and encourage our children to be the best that they can be whilst supporting them to show kindness and respect to others. We pride ourselves on offering a supportive and nurturing school environment to enable all of our pupils to thrive.
We provide an engaging and inclusive curriculum which enables all of our pupils to develop a love of learning and to prepare them for the next stages in learning and for their future lives. We aim to provide an enriched curriculum that seizes opportunities to take learning outside of the classroom and to enable our children to broaden their experiences.
We value our partnership with parents and believe that we can provide the best for our children and their learning when we work together.
